Alec Hershman 01

I’m a poet and aspiring sociologist living in Ann Arbor, MI where I teach English and philosophy. I am the author of The Egg Goes Under (Seven Kitchens Press, 2017), and my work appears widely in contemporary literary journals and magazines. I have received awards from the Kimmel-Harding-Nelson Center for the Arts, The Jentel Foundation, Playa, The Institute for Sustainable Living, Art, and Natural Design and the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission. I am currently at work on a poetry collection tentatively titled Permanent and Wonderful Storage, and on an ethnography of third-wave baristas in the United States.
